The Department of Education, Training and the Arts was established to engage Queenslanders in life long education and training and to build a strong arts and cultural sector which enriches the lives of Queenslanders. Education Queensland delivers high-quality education to more than 70 per cent of all Queensland schools students at primary and secondary levels.

The department is responsible for more than 1300 schools staffed by more than 35 000 teachers and attended by more than 490 000 students. The department wants the very best education possible for every Queensland child, so that they reach their full potential and help build the Smart State.

Education Queensland fully endorses League for Life and the LFL umbrella programs, Double Club and Nalinah Balin and supports the growth of League for Life in Queensland.

One Community


Rugby League's One Community was launched in December 2006. It is a joint initiative of the NRL, ARL, ARLD, NSWRL, QRL and CRL- the aim of One Community is to harness the strong profile of Rugby League and work across all levels of the game - players, volunteers, supporters and corporate partners - to make a positive difference to people's lives. One Community has fully endorsed League for Life and its umbrella programs and supports the program through access to One Community personnel and education resources.

ARL Development


ARL Development is a non-profit company formed by the ARL (Australian Rugby League) and NRL (National Rugby League) to develop the grassroots of the sport from introductory level up to the age of 18 years.

ARL Development works within the pre-existing development framework established by Clubs and State Leagues to augment existing programs and establish new development initiatives. They support League for Life through assisting with clinics and gala days.

It has five campuses in three cities across the Brisbane-Gold Coast corridor. With more than 37000 students and 3500 staff, it is one of Queensland's largest universities.

Griffith University Gold Coast is a major partner of League for Life and assists in data collection and analysis of the program.

NRL teams have a history of being involved in school educational and welfare projects- coaching, NRL development staff and players work in specific programs with local schools. The Gold Coast Titans and Parramatta Eels are involved with schools on the Gold Coast and in Sydney and are major partners of the League for Life program.

Club personel and players work with student son a variety of projects including competitions, clinics, classroom activities and training days. The clubs also provide passes to games and gear for rewards to students.

The Australian College of Physical Education (ACPE) is a specialist, independent tertiary institution, founded in 1917. The College today is co-educational and caters for graduates who are pursuing a variety of sports careers, offering a full degree program in sports education with access to world class sporting facilities and using the latest teaching techniques. The College campus is located in the geographical heart of Sydney at Sydney Olympic Park, home of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.

ACPE is a League for Life partner with Patrician Brothers Blacktown and is involved in data collection and anaylsis of the program at this school. Students from ACPE are involved in the teaching of League for Life in HDPE.
